Climate change adaptation of buildings with effective MOM strategies
The adaptation of Norwegian buildings to future climate regimes is key if we are to reduce the risks to wider society and avoid further increases in maintenance costs. This will require effective maintenance strategies that focus on climate change adaptation, combined with systematic and predictive maintenance work. An analysis of the impacts of future climatic stresses on building components and installations is key to such a strategy. Based on a study involving three of its building management partners, the Klima 2050 Centre has developed a set of operational guidelines for maintenance work that takes climate change adaptation into account by applying the principle of predictive maintenance.
