Dennis Kliewer is currently enrolled in a master’s program at MUAS with a major in environment and infrastructure, but has taken 6 months leave to visit Norway and increase his research experience.

For the Klima 2050 project Dennis will develop GIS-based tools to calculate and analyse potential stormwater run-off for existing and/or planned building areas as a basis for tool to decision support and planning for Sustainable Urban Design (SUD). GIS-based tools will be used to calculate the initial stormwater run-off of a building area showing potential for SUD measures, integrate in an easy way these SUD measures into a given building area and compare resulting changes in stormwater run-off in order to choose suitable measures. The final aim is to give a set of open source tools, which can be used in a decision support and planning.
