PhD gathering in Åre

To keep a strong focus on the progress, interaction and well-being of the Ph.D. candidates, a Klima 2050 Research Training Committee is established. The Training Committee will encourage the candidates interact and coordinate with relevant researchers and consortium partners ensuring good interaction and an extensive scope of work, and internships.

The Training Committee arrange two annual Ph.D.-gatherings. The gatherings will all include sessions with scientific content provided by the partners of the Centre and training in practical research strategies. A main focus will be laid on practical skills involved in research design and publication. Introductions to and discussions concerning research ethics form a key part of the gatherings.

The latest gathering was arranged in Åre, Sweden, focusing on:

  • the overall status of the project, progress, challenges and results

  • practical skills in presentation

  • the Copyright Act based on examples from the presentations

  • strategies for finishing the doctoral work
